The problem: how Indian sellers currently handle distributor pricing

Most sellers with multiple distributors are managing pricing through a combination of memory, WhatsApp messages, and spreadsheets. Each approach has its own failure mode:

Separate WhatsApp messages per distributor

You send price updates individually to each distributor. It’s easy to send the wrong rate to the wrong person, or forget to update someone when prices change.

Problem: Manual errors and accidentally exposed pricing are common

Multiple PDF price lists

You maintain different PDFs for different distributors. When a price changes, you recreate and resend each PDF — and hope no one is still ordering from the old one.

Problem: PDFs go out of date; wrong version gets shared

One price list for everyone

Simpler to manage, but high-volume buyers who deserve a better rate don’t get one — or you give everyone the low rate and lose margin on smaller orders.

Problem: High-volume buyers lose loyalty; margin squeezed on low-volume buyers

Why WhatsApp catalog cannot solve this

WhatsApp Business lets you create one catalog — but it’s a single catalog with one set of prices, visible to everyone. Here’s what it cannot do:

1

No per-buyer pricing

Every buyer sees the same price. There is no way to show Distributor A one rate and Distributor B another.

2

No login or access control

Anyone who has your WhatsApp number can see your catalog. You cannot restrict it to specific distributors.

3

No structured order placement

Buyers can ’add to cart’ but orders come through as a WhatsApp message — which you then have to interpret and retype.

4

No MOQ enforcement

A buyer can try to order 1 unit even if your minimum is 100. There’s no system-level guard.

5

No automatic invoice

Once you receive an order message, you still need to manually create and send a GST invoice.

6

No order history or audit trail

Orders are buried in chat. There’s no searchable log of what each distributor ordered and when.

How Growkit’s buyer-specific catalogs work

Growkit lets you create a separate catalog for each distributor — with their own prices, their own product list, and their own login. Here’s the setup:

1

Add your distributor as a buyer

Enter their name, business name, email, and phone number. Growkit creates their buyer profile.

2

Create a private catalog for them

Set up a catalog visible only to this buyer. You configure the products they can order and the price for each one.

3

Set their specific prices and terms

For each product, enter the price this distributor should see. You can also set MOQs, bulk discount tiers, and payment terms specific to this catalog.

4

Invite them to their catalog

Growkit sends the distributor a login link. They log in and see only their catalog — no other distributor’s rates are visible.

5

Orders flow to your dashboard

When the distributor places an order, it appears in your dashboard with their name, catalog, and all order details. GST invoice is auto-generated.

What you can customize per distributor catalog

SettingWhat you control
Price per productSet a different unit price for each product — different from your open catalog or any other distributor’s price
Product selectionShow only the products relevant to this distributor — hide products they don’t order or shouldn’t see
Minimum order quantitySet a per-product or per-catalog MOQ for this distributor specifically
Bulk discount tiersDefine quantity-based discount tiers that apply only to orders from this catalog
Payment termsSet net-30, net-60, or advance payment terms — tracked in the dashboard per distributor

Complete pricing privacy — no distributor sees another’s rate

Each private catalog requires a login. Distributor A gets login credentials for their catalog; Distributor B gets credentials for a completely separate catalog. There is no cross-visibility. Even if Distributor A guesses Distributor B’s catalog URL, they cannot access it without the right login. Your negotiated rates stay between you and each distributor — exactly as they should.

Manage 10 distributors or 100 — from one dashboard

As your distributor network grows, Growkit’s dashboard scales with you. Everything is in one place:

1

See all distributors and their catalogs

A single view shows every buyer, their catalog, and when they last placed an order.

2

Track orders by distributor

Filter your order log by buyer — see what Distributor A ordered this month versus last month.

3

Update prices across catalogs

Change a product price in one catalog or push a price update to multiple catalogs at once.

4

Send new catalog invites

Add a new distributor to your network in minutes — they get an email with their private catalog link.

5

Monitor payment status per distributor

See which invoices are paid, which are pending, and which are overdue — broken down by buyer.

Frequently asked questions

How many private catalogs can I create?

On the Starter plan (free), you get 2 private catalogs. On Growth (₹1,299/month), up to 10. On Pro (₹2,999/month), unlimited private catalogs for as many distributors as you have.

Can a distributor share their catalog link with someone else?

Private catalogs require a login — the catalog link alone isn't enough to access it. If a distributor shares their login credentials, that person can access the catalog, so treat credentials as you would any business login. You can revoke access from your dashboard at any time.

What if I change a distributor's price?

Price changes take effect immediately. The next time that distributor opens their catalog, they see the updated price. Orders that were already placed and confirmed are not affected — they stay at the confirmed price.

Can I create a catalog for a group of distributors who all get the same pricing?

Yes. You can invite multiple buyers to a single private catalog. Everyone in that catalog sees the same prices and product list. This is useful for distributors in the same region or tier who all get the same deal.

Can distributors see each other's information?

No. Each private catalog is fully isolated. Distributor A cannot see Distributor B's catalog, products, prices, or orders. There is no shared view across private catalogs.

What happens when a distributor places an order?

The order appears in your dashboard immediately with the distributor's name, their catalog name, the products ordered, quantities, and prices. A GST invoice is auto-generated for the order. You confirm it and the invoice is sent to the distributor with a payment link.
