Growkit
Invoicing

Stop sharing your UPI ID on WhatsApp. Send a payment link instead.

Every Growkit invoice includes a secure payment link. Your buyer taps it, their UPI app opens with the amount pre-filled, and you see the payment update in your dashboard. No NEFT details in chat. No manual reconciliation.

How most Indian B2B sellers collect payment today — and why it's broken

The typical process: seller sends invoice as a PDF on WhatsApp → buyer asks for bank account details → seller sends NEFT details in chat → buyer makes transfer → buyer sends screenshot → seller checks bank account to confirm → seller manually updates spreadsheet. This process has five manual steps, two of which depend on the buyer taking action and reporting back.

Buyer forgets to pay

The invoice got buried in chat — no automatic reminder.

Buyer pays the wrong amount

Misread the PDF. Now you have to reconcile manually.

Bank details exposed in chat

Shared openly in WhatsApp — accessible to anyone who picks up the buyer's phone.

Month-end reconciliation nightmare

Which payments match which invoices? Manual matching takes hours.

How Growkit payment links work

When you generate a GST invoice in Growkit, a payment link is embedded automatically. The buyer receives the invoice — either on the secure invoice portal or via WhatsApp — and sees a Pay now button showing the exact amount due.

1

Invoice generated with payment link

When you confirm an order or raise an invoice, Growkit embeds a payment link automatically. You don't set this up — it's always there.

2

Buyer receives invoice link

The invoice is sent to the buyer via WhatsApp or SMS with a link to their secure invoice page. They see the full breakdown and the Pay now button.

3

Buyer taps Pay now

Tapping the button opens UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM) with the amount pre-filled and your UPI ID as the recipient. Or the buyer sees your bank account details for NEFT/RTGS — displayed cleanly on the invoice, not in chat.

4

You confirm receipt

Once the buyer pays, you confirm receipt in Growkit with one click. The invoice status updates to Paid. The outstanding total in your dashboard decreases automatically.

Auto-reconciliation via payment gateway — where payment confirmation happens automatically without you clicking anything — is coming in a future update. The payment link infrastructure is already in place.

Why a payment link is safer than sharing NEFT details in chat

When you share your bank account number and IFSC code on WhatsApp, that information sits permanently in the buyer's chat history — accessible to anyone who picks up the buyer's phone. A Growkit payment link shows your payment details only on the secure invoice page, behind the buyer's authentication (OTP or password).

  • Bank details shown only on authenticated invoice page
  • No risk of buyer sharing your account details with others
  • UPI link pre-fills amount — no chance of buyer paying wrong amount
  • Every payment linked to a specific invoice — reconciliation is automatic

Automatic payment reminders with the payment link included

When a buyer hasn't paid by the due date, Growkit sends automatic reminders via WhatsApp. Each reminder includes the payment link — so the buyer can pay directly from the reminder message without searching for the original invoice. Reminder schedule: 3 days before due, on due date, and every 3 days after until paid (configurable).

3 days before due date

Payment reminder: Invoice INV-2526-00042 for ₹1,40,125 is due on 19 Jul.

Due date

Your invoice is due today. Tap to pay: [link]

3 days overdue

Payment overdue: ₹1,40,125 was due on 19 Jul. Please settle at your earliest.

Every payment tracked against the right invoice

In Growkit, payments are linked to invoices — not to buyers in general. When you mark a payment as received, it settles against the specific invoice it belongs to. If a buyer has 5 open invoices and pays for 3, you mark those 3 as paid — the other 2 remain outstanding in your dashboard. No manual matching. No end-of-month reconciliation.

Frequently asked questions

Does Growkit process the payment itself?

Not currently. The payment link directs buyers to pay via UPI or bank transfer — the money goes directly to your account. You confirm receipt manually in Growkit. Full payment gateway integration (where confirmation is automatic) is coming in a future update.

Which UPI apps work with Growkit payment links?

The UPI link works with all UPI-enabled apps — Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, and any bank's UPI app. The buyer's phone selects the payment app automatically.

What if my buyer prefers NEFT or RTGS?

Your bank account details (account number, IFSC, bank name) are shown on the invoice page alongside the UPI option. Buyers who prefer NEFT can use those details directly from the invoice — no need for you to share them in chat.

Can I collect payment in instalments against one invoice?

Yes. If a buyer makes a partial payment, you record it against the invoice as a partial payment. The remaining balance updates automatically and reminders continue for the outstanding amount.

Collect payments with a link — not a WhatsApp message
