Give your buyer a live window into every job — without them calling you
Every Growkit job card has a buyer portal — a secure, password-protected link your buyer opens to see delivery progress, consignment status, invoices, and payment history in real time.
Try Growkit freeWhat is the buyer portal?
The buyer portal is a web page your buyer accesses via a unique link — no Growkit account needed on their side. They enter a one-time PIN sent to their phone, and they see everything about the job: which consignments have been dispatched, which are delivered, which invoices are outstanding, and what the total balance due is. You share this link once at the start of the job. The buyer bookmarks it and checks it whenever they want — no calls needed.
- Job card details — buyer, seller, total contract quantity, target dates
- Production plan summary (optional — you choose whether to share this)
- Every consignment — its status, quantity, dispatch date, and proof documents
- GST invoice per consignment — viewable and downloadable as PDF
- Payment status per consignment — not requested, requested, approved, settled
- Total outstanding balance across all consignments
Three access control options — you choose
Not every buyer needs the same level of access protection. Growkit gives you three options when you set up the buyer portal for a job card:
What can the buyer do from the portal?
The buyer portal is primarily read-only — buyers can see everything but they don't control the job. However, buyers can:
- View and download GST invoices as PDF
- Confirm delivery receipt (marks consignment as Delivered from their side)
- View dispatch proof documents — LR numbers, delivery photos
- Pay directly from the invoice using the payment link
- See total outstanding balance across all consignments
Why a buyer portal changes the relationship
The most common friction in B2B manufacturing relationships is information asymmetry — the buyer doesn't know where their order is, so they call. The seller is in production and can't always answer. Calls get missed. Disputes arise. A buyer portal eliminates this entirely. The buyer always knows the current status without calling. The seller never has to stop production to answer a status query.
Real example
A Delhi manufacturer has 12 active job cards. Each buyer used to call 2–3 times a week asking for updates. After setting up buyer portals on all job cards, inbound status calls dropped to nearly zero. Buyers check the portal instead.
Documents are stored securely — not sent as files
In Growkit, delivery receipts, invoices, and proof documents are stored as secure URLs — not as WhatsApp attachments or email attachments. The buyer accesses them from their portal via a link. Documents don't get lost in chat history. They're always accessible from the portal, timestamped, and linked to the correct consignment.
Frequently asked questions
Does my buyer need to create a Growkit account?
No. The buyer portal works without any account on the buyer's side. They access it via the link you share, protected by the access method you choose (direct link, OTP, or username/password).
Can multiple people on the buyer's side access the portal?
Yes. If you use the direct link or username/password access, multiple people on the buyer's team can access the same portal. OTP access is tied to one phone number.
Can I hide the production plan from the buyer?
Yes. The production plan is internal by default — the buyer never sees it unless you explicitly choose to share it. What the buyer always sees: consignments, delivery status, invoices, and payment status.
What happens to the portal when the job is complete?
The portal stays live after the job is complete. The buyer can always access it to download final invoices or review payment history — even after the job card is closed.
